Nathan Joseph Williams grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a young man he found his direction and that direction lead him towards a lifelong dedicated service to God and his community. Today, the Lord is stronger in his life than ever. Williams has always put the welfare of others before his own; caring for and helping those less fortunate was the powerful galvanizer of his career and in service to the Church.
He began his journey by graduating from Warren Easton Senior High School in New Orleans in 1976. He received a Nurse Assistant Certificate at the American College, and his Bachelor Degree at the McKinley Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
In 1989-90, he went on to receive his Masters of Theology and Doctorate at the United Christian College in Brooklyn, NY. Williams served as the Executive Secretary- Treasurer at the United Progressive Missionary Baptist Association in New Orleans from 1982-86. Also during that time he served as an Advisory Board Member at the American College. He served as the Assistant Pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA, where he taught Sunday school and performed other duties as prescribed by the official pastor. He also pastured a small congregation in New Orleans at the Mt. Pisagah Missionary Baptist Church. Then in 1987-1992, he became the Associate Minister at First Baptist Church in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
